In the cubes are placed large screws. Simple round screws that detract from the angularity of the watch. I have a feeling that these screws will loosen over time. Most other watches that have screws, actually have bolts. Meaning the screw looking bolts are secured on the other end with a nut. I am afraid the C1 owner will be faced with tightening screws occassionaly. Further, for the price, I would expect nicer looking screws, at least something more interesting than what looks to be taken out of a parts bin. Going back to the large cubes, they are plain looking once you get used to them. Either in rubber or steel depending on the watch, they don't really do much for me. Rubber is coming back as a material used in high-end watches, but I cannot be sure why. Sure it does not dent, but it can scuff or even tear. It is not an expensive material, and I would not want to pay the excess of ,000 for it to be prominently pronounced on the face of a watch.
See aBlogtoRead.com discussing a Linde Werdelin Land Instrument available on eBay here.
Sensors included in the Land Instrument are a barometer, altimeter, internal and external temperature sensor (for body heat and outside temperature), digital compass, and an external heart rate monitor. Using the heart rate monitor in combination with other data such as rate of climb and body dynamics, the Land Instrument gives you an indication of burned calories, which is nice. Such technology has been shown to be accurate to the degree of giving you an idea of when you are at peak exertion levels. An actual indication of calories expended is a complex analysis based on many specific factors such as one's basal metabolism, weight, fitness level, and personal chemistry. While no out of-the-box solution will tell you precise calorie burning data, it is good to have as an estimate for exercise purposes.
In identifying these above personality traits, my hope is that people will have a better understanding of the propensities behind horological enthusiasm. And for watch lovers alike, to realize those things we all have in common.

Buy watches in a store is a lot like buying a car. Someone approaches you while you are just trying to browse to ask if you would like any help. Yes, they are working on commission, but they need to give you some place. Sometimes, I really just want to look. Other than asking "need any help today," maybe they could offer some interesting information based on the watches I am checking out. I'd rather know about a special edition, sale offer, or fascinating technical detail, than how interested they are in how likely I am going to buy something that day. What this all means however is that you can bargain.
In deciding the name for this blog I briefly played with the idea of titling it arieladams.com. In doing so, I had to make sure that I could register the name domain name "arieladams.com." Therefore, you go to Network Solution, or any of the other registers and check the availability of the domain name. I did so, and to my surprise, the domain was taken! Who could have used my domain name?!
The New BRS models are not the first ceramic watches to be released by Bell & Ross. They recently came out with black and white ceramic BR-03 watches (even with diamonds), but the BRS watches are smaller yet (though still large enough for men) and have a totally new face for the series.

Marcello C. called upon many styles and design themes in the creation of the Diavolo. It is both classic and modern, sporty and sophisticated. While not placing firmly into any one category, the Marcello C. Diavolo seemingly transcends categorization. Inspection of each element on the Diavolo, or any Marcello C watch for that matter reveals functionality and ergonomics at each point. The illusion of the Diavolo is that it is a pure instrument with a fancy skin, and this is a good thing. Admire that watch all you will, but this is a serious watch tool like any other Marcello C.

The ornate detailing around the watch face is all part of the art deco theme. Use of well placed lines to enhance form while adding visual strength to the watch. Large hex screws are used to enhance the powerful look, and hidden lugs move into a vertically lined rubber strap with a secure metal clasp. The face of the Below Zero Diver watch is very legible and I like the use of a "0" at the "12" position. It not only embellishes on the Below "Zero" them, but adds to the watches identity as a measuring instrument.
